I've been a certified personal trainer since 2012, hailing from Yorkshire, England and now a proud Aussie. I was the skinny kid at school, enjoying sport but being one of the slowest when it came to face off on the 100m sprint. At 16, I was lucky enough to have my dad as a training partner as we joined the local gym, soon enough I fell in love with weights- smashing personal bests week-on-week and seeing the muscle come on in leaps and bounds over those early years. Confidence was up. I was hooked, for life. From then on, I read everything I could get my hands on training and nutrition wise and continue that practice to this day, applying the principles to my own competitive pursuits in bodybuilding and powerlifting. I’d love to help you find some of what I found in the gym.
Moving to the other side of the world, marrying my wife Katie and relocating again from Sydney to Newcastle has brought fresh perspective on the challenges my clients face. Maturing is realising that not everyone can live and breathe fitness 24/7, but we can still pave your path to fitness success- despite the family, career and social commitments of adulthood.
My goal is to use my experience and passion to help you reach your full potential. I specialise sustainable fat loss (no rebounds), consistent muscle gain (year on year) and ultimately want you to just fall in love with the gym (despite the fact you hated PE). I practice what I preach, taking an evidence-based approach to coaching and providing personalised programs and care that fit each client's unique needs and abilities.
